Every piece at Mystique Crochet Boutique is made by hand by Justina. Before there was a boutique, there was a runway, a sewing habit and a question strangers kept asking her. This first post tells that story, in the order it happened.

The runway years

Fashion has always been part of Justina's life. In her early twenties she walked on the runways, dressed in the latest designer creations, and felt the pulse of the fashion industry firsthand.

When she stepped away from modeling, her love of fashion did not fade. In her own words, it simply transformed.

Making clothes for herself

Justina started sewing and crocheting unique clothes for herself. She wanted pieces that felt as luxurious and as unique as everything she had worn on the runway.

Each stitch became a way to express her creativity, blending timeless craftsmanship with modern styles. That is still how she works today: every piece is made by hand.

"Where did you get that?"

Then something unexpected happened. Whenever Justina wore her own designs, women would stop her on the street, at the mall, in cafes and even at events to ask where she got them.

Their eyes would light up when she told them she had made the piece herself. That excitement sparked something in her.

From a passion to a business

That is how Mystique Crochet Boutique was born. What started as a passion turned into a business where artistry meets fashion, and where every piece is designed to be as unique as the person wearing it.

Justina began by selling at pop up events around Michigan and Indianapolis. Her pieces are made in the Midwest with warm places like California and Florida in mind, and with this website she wants to reach shoppers across the country.
